This was a small series related by their intimacy, abstraction and ability to create a space the viewer feels comfortable inhabiting with their own interpretations of what they feel, or perhaps know, is there.

My typical hardwood forest (birch, aspen, alder—your guess is as good as mine for this iconic tree) is filled with calligraphic brush to soften the view and ease the mind's entry into the work.
