Reign of Flowers, Opus 454, 2009
17 by 10.5 inches. Frameless.
This was a small series related by their intimacy, abstraction and ability to create a space the viewer feels comfortable inhabiting with their own interpretations of what they feel, or perhaps know, is there.
Part of the joy of working with my newer impressions technique is that sometimes I get to just toss things on until it looks right. The final application of opaque white flowers to this undeclared diptych forest view makes the light dance through the trees as it should.
